Me and my computer

My lappy and I are going to be bestie's this semester.

Well I am taking not one, not two, but THREE online classes. I know I know... crazy right? But I sorta kinda have to so I just gotta accept it. I have come up with a list of pro's and con's to this situation.

  • I can work on my classes from the comfort of my own home/bed
  • Although there are deadlines for assignments, I get quite a bit of time to do them
  • I can get everything done early
  • The rest of my classes don't require a lot of outside of class work so I don't feel too overwhelmed with the fact that I'm taking three online class

  • Staring at a computer screen for so long really starts to hurt. I have to take breaks to keep my sanity
  • Easy to not have motivation to do them and get behind
  • Answers to questions don't come instantly, I have to wait until I get e-mailed back
  • Lots of distractions. Facebook, blogger, youtube...

Welp, looks like we're about even here!

Here's to you computer, and for all the good times we have ahead together.

Fall = Football

It's that time of year again... the best time... FOOTBALL TIME!!! There is nothing better than football season. And I can feel this is going to be a great year for my two teams: The Utes and the East High Leopards. (Whoever thought I would be cheering for my high school's rival... but I can't really root against the lil bro!)

Last night Niel's team played a great game down in Orem and won 41-17! It was such a fun game and Niel had quite the play when he got an interception and ran it in for a touchdown! I was so proud of that little booger. Although it may just be "high school football", I would choose to go watch Niel and his team play over anyone else. There is something so great and exciting about watching my own flesh and blood dominate the football field. The kid has talent. As tradition would have it, the team did the haka (I don't know if that's spelled right!) towards their fans at the end of their victory.

I wish they would have turned the music off so you could actually hear them!

And who's excited for Thursday's game at the home of the running Utes kicking off the pac 12 season?
I AM!!!

Friday was the wedding of my dear friend Michelle to the love of her life Mick. It was such an amazing day and I was so happy I got to be apart of it. From the temple to the luncheon to the reception... all amazing! Michelle was seriously one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen and Mick looked like such a stud in his chocolate brown suit. These 2 are an incredible couple and I really admire their relationship. I am so happy for them and wish them the best!

Congrats M&M! I love you both!

Waiting for the happy couple to come out of the temple

Weekend Celebrations

Friday's celebration was for this lovely bride-to-be...

Last week of her single life! We had such a fun bachelorette party in Park City to celebrate our cute friend Michelle getting married on Friday. All I can say is what happens in Park City, stays in Park City.

And tonight was our final official gamma activity :(

It was a great turnout and it was so fun to get together one last time as gamma.
I love these girls!

This week is the finale of sytycd. I always get so excited for the finale to find out the winner, but then I am literally heart broken when it's over. Such a bitter sweet week.
During the finale all the top 20 dancers come back and the judges pick their favorite dances of the season for the dancers to perform again. In honor of the finale week, I thought I would post some of my favorite dances that each of the final 4 dancers have been in.

(I had to give myself a guideline or else I would have posted all my favorite dances of the season)

It was soooo hard to narrow it down because there have been so many incredible dances but here are just a few of my faves. Can't wait to find out who will be crowned America's favorite dancer!

Lake Powell

My last vacation of summer could not have been any better. Lake Powell with great company is going to result in an amazing trip. Some of the highlights included:

  • Perfect weather
  • Sleeping under the stars and seeing shooting stars constantly
  • Crazy tube rides/wars that resulted in a few minor injuries
  • The most delicious meals
  • Life jacket diapers
  • spf 80
  • Laughing so hard my abs are sore
  • Going down the water slide
  • Slalom skiing
  • Exploring a shore across from us and walking through a crack in the rock opening to another bay where we found some cliffs to jump off
  • The Job List
  • Most insane jet ski ride I have ever been on
  • Game of Werwolf
  • Massage trains
  • Scum
  • Doing an act of service by rescuing wandering tubes and trying to find the owners
  • Ultimate spoons
  • Surfing
  • Successfully getting up on the surf board with 2 of us on it (we didn't last long but we did get up!)
  • The Solemn and Serious game
  • Transformers movie on a big screen during a thunderstorm
  • "Who does this grandma think she is?!"
  • Bieber shower/dance party
and many, many more!
