Stressed about catching up because of my amazing procrastination this semester.
Stressed about not even being able to catch up.
Stressed about the lack of time in the day.
Stressed about not receiving scholarships.
Stressed about grades...
Basically stressed should be my middle name.
In the midst of all the stressing I have been doing, a talk came to mind that Elder Christofferson gave during a CES fireside. It basically talks about taking things one day at a time in small "bites". I felt like he was speaking directly to me since I'm the type of person that is constantly thinking ahead and about the future. Elder Christofferson quoted this from a book that I think says it perfectly:
"First of all, I do not want you to give in to the pressure of the moment. Whenever you're hurting bad, just hang in there. Finish the day... Second, take it one day at a time. One phase at a time. Don't let your thoughts run away with you, don't start planning to bail out because you're worried about the future and how much you can take. Don't look ahead to the pain. Just get through the day, and there's a wonderful career ahead of you."
So this is me reminding myself to take things just one day at a time.
Great advice!!! Love you, Mom
